Indigenous Peoples Across Amazon Bless And Affirm Message From International Indigenous Leaders Gathering in Canada in Sacred Fire Ceremony at Rio +20
An Indigenous Call for Urgent and Collective Action to All Members of the Human Family for Protecting and Restoring the Sacred
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
June 13, 2012
The spiritual foundation of the International Indigenous Leadership Gathering is based in the understanding of the fundamental oneness and unity of all life. All members of the Human Family are all part of the ancient Sacred Circle of Life. Since we are all part of the Sacred Circle of Life we are all Indigenous Peoples of Mother Earth. This makes every Human Being responsible for the well-being of one another and for all living things upon our Mother Earth.
Therefore, whether or not the nation states, multinational corporations or international development agencies that surround us are willing or able to participate with us at this time, it is clear our Indigenous Peoples and Allies are moving forward in rebuilding and reunifying the Americas and beyond, through the Natural Laws and Guiding Principles that are inherent in our Indigenous World View and Legal Order that are based on a spiritual enduring, eternal foundation.
1. We have the ancient prophecies and the clear vision of a future of social justice and collective prosperity for the Americas and beyond that we are in the process of manifesting. This new global civilization that is unfolding, as promised by the Ancient Ones and the Ancient of Days, fully honors the Natural Laws and Rights of Mother Earth and the Unity and Diversity of Human Family. This New Spiritual Springtime foretold by our Elders is now unfolding globally, as sure as the sun rises every morning.
2. We have a strong, enduring and unbreakable spiritual foundation of cultural values and guiding principles that are empowering us to arise to our promised destiny, with greater strength and wisdom than ever before, after a great spiritual wintertime. This long spiritual wintertime was filled, at times, with the utmost human cruelty, violence, injustice, abuse, and physical and cultural genocide.
Despite these challenges, throughout the Americas and around Mother Earth, our Indigenous Peoples are reawakening to their spiritual and cultural identities and are healing our Sacred Relationships between ourselves, Mother Earth and all members of the Human Family.
3. Together, with our other Indigenous Peoples and other Members of the Human Family, we have the cultural, spiritual, scientific, technological, social, environmental, economic and agricultural capacities and wisdom needed to co-create and rebuild our Families, Tribes and Nations stronger and more unified than ever before.
4. Our Indigenous Peoples of Mother Earth have the growing collective social and economic capital, coupled with vast natural resources, to bring our greatest dreams and visions to reality. This includes fully protecting, preserving, and restoring our Beloved Mother as the sacred heritage of all generations, yet to come!
Furthermore it is crystal clear that these collective resources are in the process of empowering us to become a primary spiritual and economic force, not only in the Americas, but throughout Mother Earth.
We are now and are destined in the future to play a greater and greater role as key global leaders in wisely mandating the sustainable and harmonious ways Mother Earth’s gifts and resources will or will not be developed! We will insure that when the development of the natural resources of Mother Earth are not sustainable, no matter how much profit is to be made, they will not be exploited!
Our Sacred Places and the Healthful Life of our Beloved Mother Earth are not for sale and exploitation for any price!
5. We, the Indigenous Peoples of the Eagle of the North (Canada and the U.S.) have the material resources to directly support our Indigenous Relatives of the Condor of the South (Latin America) in developing their collective resources, as they choose. The Condor of the South equally has critical resources to share with the Eagle of the North. Our greatest strength yet to be fully realized is our spiritual and cultural unity.
6. By utilizing emerging digital communications technologies and corresponding green technologies and economies, in harmony with our vast, collective social, economic, cultural and spiritual capacities, we are manifesting, as promised, a future with social, environmental and economic justice for all members of the Human Family and our Beloved Mother Earth!
7. The primary challenge that stands before us as Indigenous Peoples and we as a Human Family, in rebuilding the Americas, and beyond, is disunity. This disunity has been directly caused by genocide and colonialism. This genocide and colonization has resulted in unresolved inter-generational trauma and internalized oppression that is in the process of being fully recognized and addressed.
As we move courageously and wisely forward, in greater and greater love, compassion, justice and unity, we are reconnecting to our enduring and unbreakable spiritual and cultural foundation for healing, reconciliation and collective action for “Protecting and Restoring the Sacred ” everywhere on Mother Earth.
With the realization of this spiritual and cultural foundation for prayerful, wise and unified action, all that is needed for our ultimate victory will gracefully and assuredly unfold at the right times and places, as foretold by our Ancient Ones.
Four Worlds Indigenous Guiding Principles for Building Sustainable and Harmonious Prosperity in the Americas and Beyond
The Sixteen Principles for building a sustainable and harmonious world community emerged from a 40-year process of reflection, consultation and action within Indigenous communities across the Americas. They are rooted in the concerns of hundreds of Indigenous Elders Spiritual Leaders and Community Members, as well as, in the best thinking of many non- Indigenous scholars, researchers and human and community development practitioners.
These guiding principles constitute the foundation for the process of healing and developing ourselves (mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually), our human relationships (personal, social, political, economic, and cultural) and our relationship with Mother Earth. They describe the way we must work and what we must protect and cherish.
We offer these Guiding Principles as a gift to all who seek to build a sustainable and harmonious Global community.
PREAMBLE
We speak as one, guided by the sacred teachings and spiritual traditions of the Four Directions that uplift, guide, protect, warn, inspire and challenge the entire human family to live in ways that sustain and enhance human life and the lives of all who dwell on Mother Earth, and hereby dedicate our lives and energies to healing and developing ourselves, the web of relationships that make our world, and the way we live with Mother Earth.
THE GUIDING PRINCIPLES
Starting from within, working in a circle, in a sacred manner, we heal and develop ourselves, our relationships and our world.
STARTING FROM WITHIN
Human Beings Can Transform Their Worlds
The web of our relationships with others and the natural world, which has given rise to the problems we face as a human family, can be changed.
Development Comes From Within
The process of human and community development unfolds from within each person, relationship, family organization, community or nation.
No Vision, No Development
A vision of who we can become and what a sustainable world would be like, works as a powerful magnet, drawing us to our potential.
Healing Is A Necessary Part Of Development
Healing the past, closing up old wounds and learning healthy habits of thought and action to replace dysfunctional thinking and disruptive patterns of human relations is a necessary part of the process of sustainable development.
WORKING IN A CIRCLE
Interconnectedness
Everything is connected to everything else; therefore, any aspect of our healing and development is related to all the others (personal, social, cultural, political, economic, etc.). When we work on any one part, the whole circle is affected.
No Unity, No Development
Unity means oneness. Without unity, the common oneness that makes (seemingly) separate human beings into ‘community’ is impossible. Disunity is the primary disease of community.
No Participation, No Development
Participation is the active engagement of the minds, hearts and energy of the people in the process of their own healing and development.
Justice
Every person (regardless of gender, race, age, culture, religion, sexual orientation) must be accorded equal opportunity to participate in the process of healing and development, and to receive a fair share of the benefits.
IN A SACRED MANNER
Spirit
Human beings are both material and spiritual in nature. It is therefore inconceivable that human community could become whole and sustainable without bringing our lives into balance with the requirements of our spiritual nature.
Morals and Ethics
Sustainable human and community development requires a moral foundation centered in the wisdom of the heart. When this spiritual foundation is lost, morals and ethical principles decline and development stops.
The Hurt of One Is the Hurt of All: The Honor of One Is the Honor Of All
The basic fact of our oneness as a human family means that development for some at the expense of well being for others is not acceptable or sustainable.
Authentic Development Is Culturally Based
Healing and development must be rooted in the wisdom, knowledge and living processes of the culture of the people.
WE HEAL AND DEVELOP OURSELVES, OUR RELATIONSHIPS AND OUR WORLD
Learning
Human beings are learning beings. We begin learning while we are still in our mother’s wombs, and unless something happens to close off our minds and paralyze our capacities, we keep learning throughout our entire lives. Learning is at the core of healing and development.
Sustainability
To sustain something means to enable it to continue for a long time. Authentic development does not use up or undermine what it needs to keep on going.
Move to the Positive
Solving the critical problems in our lives and communities is best approached by visualizing and moving into the positive alternative that we wish to create, and by building on the strengths we already have, rather than on giving away our energy fighting the negative.
Be the Change You Want To See
The most powerful strategies for change always involve positive role modeling and the creation of living examples of the solutions we are proposing. By walking the path, we make the path visible.

Doris Eagle Feather Duster-How to survive when the shift hits the fan!
This video is the best advice I’ve seen for the 2012 scenario. Doris knows all the answers! Enjoy
Doomsday
Here is an article by Ian O’Neil of Discovery News which I found interesting
Ever since I wrote my very first “No Doomsday in 2012″ article for Universe Today in 2008, I’ve been repeating the same message over and over again: The Mayans never predicted doomsday in 2012. And I’ll say it once more, this time with even more expert endorsement: The Mayans never, EVER predicted doomsday in 2012.
Sadly, science and history has been bent and twisted to suit supporters of this doomsday hoax, and when scientists or archaeologists go on the record to debunk the nonsense, the blame falls on some kind of convenient global conspiracy.
But where did this Mayan doomsday idea come from anyway?
The Long(est) Count
The seed of next year’s multitude of “End of the World” theories supposedly occurring on or around Dec. 21, 2012, is that a mesoamerican calendar foretold doom. A particular Mayan calendar is at the center of all the excitement, and due to a numerical fluke, it just so happens the calendar will “run out” next year.
ANALYSIS: 2012 Mayan Calendar ‘Doomsday’ Date Might Be Wrong
The Mayan civilization existed from 250-900 A.D. in the current geographical location of southern Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador and some of Honduras. Archaeologists studying this fascinating culture have been able to decipher their many calendars, but their longest period calendar — the “Long Count” — is what set alarm bells ringing.
The Long Count calendar was created by the Mayans so that history could be chronicled and future events could be planned — you know, not too dissimilar to the calendar on your iPhone.
This long-period calendar, that has a cycle of 5,126 years, is a departure from the other calendars the Mayans used at the time. Some calendars lasted less than a year (such as the “Tzolk’in” — that lasted 260 days), others lasted decades (such as the “Calendar Round” — charting the approximate time span of a generation — approximately 52 years). Then, using remarkable ingenuity, the Mayans created the Long Count calendar that had a numerical foundation — almost like an ancient binary code.
“It’s a Marketing Fallacy.”
Although the exact end-date of this Long Count cycle has recently been thrown into doubt, one thing most Maya experts and doomsday theorists agree on is that the calendar “ends” next year. The calendar consists of 13 “Baktuns” — each approximately 394-years long — and we are coming to the end of the 13th Baktun.
One thing they don’t agree on, however, is what this actually means.
Doomsayers will try to convince you that the “end” of the Long Count 13th Baktun is a Mayan prophesy of the “End of the World.” Because, like any good snake oil salesman, you need to frighten the crap out of your audience before selling them a book on the subject.
ANALYSIS: Can Science Beat the Doomsday Hype?
But, according to someone who actually knows a thing or two about the Maya culture, the Mayans never made any such prophesy: “We have to be clear about this. There is no prophecy for 2012,” said Erik Velasquez, an etchings specialist at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). “It’s a marketing fallacy.”
The National Institute of Anthropological History in Mexico, no doubt getting fed-up of their inboxes getting filled with panicked emails about fake doomsday theories, issued a statement too: “The West’s messianic thinking has distorted the world view of ancient civilizations like the Mayans.”
According to the Institute, of the 15,000 glyphic texts found in the ancient ruins of the Mayan empire, only two mention 2012. You’d think that the “End of the World” would hold more significance, wouldn’t you? Events after 2012 are also mentioned, so this “End of the World” isn’t as definite as the doomsayers make out.
Indiana Jones and the Temple of… Doomsday?
For some reason, modern culture embraces ancient civilizations as having magical powers — they could somehow predict the future and had conversations with aliens (really). And for some who think the Indiana Jones movies are accurate portrayals of historic events, this probably isn’t so surprising.
ANALYSIS: Top 10 Reasons Why the World Won’t End in 2012
Experts in Maya culture have a far better perspective as to what the end of the 13th Baktun really means to the descendants of the ancient Maya.
“Because Bolon Yokte was already present at the day of creation … it just seemed natural for the Mayan that Bolon Yokte will again be present,” said Sven Gronemeyer, a researcher of Mayan codes from La Trobe University in Australia.
Bolon Yokte is the Mayan god associated with war and creation; the reappearance of this god is therefore more of a transition from one era to the next, according to Gronemeyer. Indeed, many will be marking the end of the Mayan calendar with celebrations of spiritual “rebirth.”
Mayan descendants have many celebrations planned; the countries located where the Maya once thrived will be excited about the increase in tourism revenue. Contrary to what those dodgy websites are telling you, it won’t be a scary time at all (in Central America, at least).
Really, There’s No Doomsday in 2012
As our calendar transitions from 2011 to 2012, we can expect to see more doomsday theories surface, each convincingly portraying the weird and wonderful ways in which the world will be blow-torched in the Fall of 2012.
So long as there is money to be made from people’s fear, we’ll keep seeing the bookshelves stacked with a disproportionate amount of doom and Google ads linking to websites with doomsayers’ warped versions of reality.
But all these theories have a common theme: Whether the purveyor of theorized doom is a killer solar flare, galactic alignment or a brilliantly-timed Planet X (or Nibiru), they are all complete bunk. There is no evidence of 2012 being anything special — next year will have its fair share of war, death, destruction, calamities and financial meltdowns, but the Maya — or any other ancient civilization for that matter — didn’t predict it.
Guatemalan Officials welcome the upcoming 13th Baktun, an end to the ancient Mayan calendar on December 2012. Mayan Elders disregard some western views that this date is associated with the end of the world. But Guatemala hopes to economize on the forecast boom in tourism for the upcoming year. Credit: J. Ken Littlefish Durrant-Kanucas-RIP
It is with sadness that I write this post. A wonderful teacher and spiritual warrior has returned to the arms of Mother Earth. His teachings were impeccable and his wisdom enormous. I had the privilege to work with Ken on his visits to England and I was always struck by his enormous energy and determination to overcome life challenges. He himself suffered from Polio but refused to allow his disabilities to prevent him from sharing the wisdom of his peoples and Great Spirit. His attitude to life was exemplary and I thank him for all the advice, support and love he gave me and my family in our own times of deep crisis.
Kanucas rest easy in the arms of Great Spirit for surely there is a great celebration happening now on your return home
Blessings
Spirituality and Money
I read this article on Shaman Portal-it is very refreshing to see Jade have the courage to speak up about frankly a taboo subject. I like his understanding and clarity
“Within the cultural paradigm of which I come, that of the indigenous North Americans, the thought of ‘paying’ for a Ceremonial never comes up because the thought of NOT paying is never considered, so there is never the need to put a ‘price tag’ on anything of a spiritual nature. We Spirit People who provide a spiritual service, at home in a tribal culture, may wake up to find a sack of corn, a haunch of venison, an envelope of cash or some other valuable gift upon our doorstep. A person who receives help from us Spirit Peoples will continue to provide gifts for years to come.
This expression of appreciation is not a feature of American culture. In a consumer based society everything has an expected fee. You pay the price or go without. If there is no price established, there is an assumption of fine-print-trickery or worthlessness. This aspect of American society deprives the individual of responsibility and freedom in relationship to establishing the inherent value of a product or service to the individual. If, on the other hand, there is the appellation of ‘donation’ or ‘contribution’ associated with the item or experience, there is an observed tendency of even the most spiritually inclined person to consider that no payment or a minimal pittance is somehow acceptable, rather than to own personal responsibility for determining the value, for one’s self, of that which has been offered. This ‘get-something-for-nothing’ attitude is both reprehensible and dishonoring.
“How much is this Ceremony?” I have been asked. I might respond by asking how many dollars is an experience of the ineffable and infinite worth? A teaching which may transform one’s world view? The opportunity for a healing that enables a person to live, let alone to live with grace and ease? The very concept is rather absurd. There is no way to place a dollar value on these things.
What is affordable to one is an extravagance beyond measure for another, and for someone else the same amount is mere pocket change. What is affordable for you? Determine this, then offer more than what is affordable, for it is in that realm between what is affordable and comfortable, and the extension of one’s offering beyond that limit, which creates the space where true healing and appreciation reside. I will often present a guide for payment in an evening’s Ceremony: How much would you spend on a fine evening’s entertainment? A movie and dinner? A night out partying at a club? Going to a theatrical stage production? Determine this first. Now, if what you have received in this Ceremony is purely entertainment, place an equivalent amount in the basket. If you have received something more than entertainment, something which is enlightening and world changing, place an amount in the basket in accordance of value of that which you have received. If you feel ‘less than’ from your experience, take something out of the basket and place it in your pocket! Never should a person feel lessened by their experience in a sacred event.
I have found that, even after offering insight on how ‘payment’ is handled, that some will then look at me and ask “So, what is the fee for this Ceremony?” Well, I have been sent forth, by my Grampa and by Eagle Brother, into the American world to bring ‘the Ways’ into accessibility for all. I have had to learn to speak the language, socially and economically. So, when you see that there is a fee placed upon a ceremony, it is because, for the most part, Americans do not have the culturally designed knowledge of how to appropriately recompense a valuable service.
There are times when a person says to me that they really would like to attend a Ceremony or receive a Doctoring (Shamanic Healing Ceremony), but they cannot afford it. I will never turn away a person who sincerely needs help just because they don’t have cash in their pocket. If a person sincerely needs help, help I will offer to the best of my ability. The need for assistance arises from within the Soul, not the bank account. Such a person of indigent means may be asked to perform a service in exchange, and not always a service for me, but often a community service. It is the act of giving beyond one’s means which creates the space for healing. This is, in addition to the many ways possible, one expression of my give-away back into the Community.
There are some who have a belief that any kind of monetary exchange for a spiritual service is somehow unethical. I am curious when presented with this particular world view. I ask of the person what they themselves do to earn an income. And, if this occupation of theirs is not the expression of their spiritual service in the world, then why are they wasting their time doing something, merely for money, which is NOT their Spirit’s Calling? Personally, I cannot conceive of spending a significant portion of my waking life in the pursuit of money, let alone doing something which has no relevance to the purpose of my Being!
My Grampa Pena was insistent that payment be made for all Shamanic services. He would say that if a person did not suffer (by ‘suffer’ he meant to go beyond one’s comfort zone, physically, mentally, emotionally), they would not appreciate nor receive anything of value. Grampa told of how, in a Vision Quest, the young Indian men go up on the mountain with no food nor water for three, maybe four days. He spoke of how, because in those days the People were always hungry, that to go without food might mean death. And sometimes these young men would, in fact, die up on the mountain. He then mentioned American people who go up on the mountain, they don’t eat for a few days, they come down from the mountain and have a big turkey dinner….it means nothing to them to not eat, there is no real challenge. “Grandson,” he told me “you gotta make the people suffer so they can get something good. Those American people, they hurt in their wallet!” Think about it. He was right, you know.
My Spirit’s Calling IS my Life. As such, the expression of that Calling is, and must be, the means of supporting my worldly existence so that I can continue to bring my Spirit’s Calling forth. So, when you see a ‘fee’ associated with a Ceremony, that monetary exchange is not a payment for a Ceremony. It is a contribution to, and support of, the continuance of my life and worldly responsibilities (rent, food, transportation to your community, my kids’ shoes and bicycles, an occasional movie…you know, the stuff of life in the world) so that I am able to continue to present ‘the Ways’ to you, and to others down the road.”

2012-what will it mean for you?
There has been an awful lot written and said about 2012 and 21st December in particular. I read somewhere that there are 40,000 titles available from Amazon that have something to do with Mayan calendars, culture and the meaning 0f 2012.
Amongst younger folks in particular there seems to be confusion and actually fear being created over this date. The end of the World is nigh! How many times have we heard that. Apparently the crusades to Jerusalem were inspired by the fact that notable scholars of the time were predicting the end of the World and the belief prevalent then was that the only way to insure going to heaven on Judgement Day was being buried in Jerusalem’s holy soil.
To be honest I haven’t read much about our impending doom simply because I don’t feel the need. I met a very interesting man a few years ago from Guatemala who is a time-keeper in the Mayan tradition. He said to me that the West had jumped on this doomsday idea without having a correct understanding of his time-keeping tradition. As far as he was concerned the end of time date that everyone is talking about is incorrect and actually it falls on the 5th January 2020 and it isn’t an end date but a beginning. According to him the Mayan calendar has been running backwards-a bit like a countdown for thousands of years and the magic date everyone is talking about is actually day zero. Its a countdown to a new and golden age when Humanity finally have the opportunity to get it right and learn and transcend the futility of War etc etc. This will not happen overnight or on a particular day but take years, maybe centuries to manifest. We are approaching the beginning and as in all the best new beginnings we have to rid ourselves of the old to make way for the new. This helps to explain all the upheavals and changes we are experiencing on a global scale.
But what does it mean for you? And me? Many of us are already feeling the effects of a change of energy-I am excited by the possibilities and very glad to alive at this time. Large parts of the population are totally unaware of all the hype at all and will continue to live as they do now. Those who have heard the news will react in various ways:
- Skepticism-its all a load of New Age codswallop!
- Fear-the end is nigh
- Joy-this is what we’ve been waiting for
- Boredom-I’ve heard it all before
Which camp do you fall into, if any? Whatever your take on the subject, one thing we can be sure of, once 21st December 2012 has passed we’ll all be wiser with hindsight!

Holy Thorn-Solstice Update from Rosemary
Dear Friends,
Someone once told me the percentage of DNA human beings share with trees.
Unfortunately, my brain has not retained the exact percentage, but I do recall it
being surprisingly high and an inspiring piece of data.
This incomplete fact has been weaving itself into my thoughts on the Holy Thorn
recently, as we approached and passed the anniversary of its vandalisation. A phrase
has been ringing in my mind – “Be the Tree”. It encapsulates how I can continue to
honour the life and teachings of our beautiful hawthorn.
A turbulent and challenging year followed the damaging of the Holy Thorn, not
difficult for any of us to recall ! A year in which I was asked to sit inside my
oldest wound and really see it and its far-reaching, unconscious effects, perhaps
clearly for the first time in my life. I did not realise I was “being the tree” at
the time because I was too consumed with my own inner machinations. I do not believe
I was the only one doing this either, perhaps you did this too? Perhaps you
uncovered your wound to your awareness, exposed it fully to the elements? Perhaps
you were “being the tree” too?
If I could be any tree, I would choose the Holy Thorn, though there are many
beautiful tree beings to honour and cherish. Even in its physically damaged state
it is whole and embodies with complete integrity a powerful healing premis. It knew
the truth about our wounds (however well they were hidden) and through its strange
and difficult story of late, it speaks the truth to us. It reveals us to ourselves
for the sake of our own healing.
I would also choose to be the tree because it perfectly blends the purest energies
of both the Old Religion (Paganism) and the New Religion (Christianity), without
detriment to either, with natural affinity to both. No confusion exists within it,
only within us. The tree stands as a harmonious embodiment of the sacred masculine
and feminine. The hawthorn faerie spirit is female and (for me) emanates just as
frequently from the tree as the Christ Energy. The Michael and Mary lines both run
parallel along Wearyall Hill and converge upon the Holy Thorn. The Holy Thorn also
incorporates another important polarity, that of “up and down”. The physical form of
the tree is as a conductor both ways for earth and sky energies. All reasons why the
tree has a powerful channelling ability, why it is a power spot and concentrated
focus for the flow of energy around the planet. I sense the tree can serve as a kind
of junction box or router for global energy. I do not believe mine is a unique
observation. I know others have understood this about the tree too.
Why would I not want to “Be the Tree” ? It represents everything I am trying to work
towards.
The last time I connected with the hawthorn at Equinox, the tree spirit felt at one
with itself, whole and “unharmed” despite its physical condition. The tree spirit
however felt semi-detached from the body of the tree. The faerie stood beside the
trunk and was making stellar connections. At this point some of the new sprigs had
been taken, but two small ones still remained.
A few days ago on Solstice morning, no evidence of new growth remained. In a sense
we were back where we started a year ago, with no outer signs of reassurance and no
certainty about the future. A cycle has been completed. A grief cycle. A healing
cycle in fact, for something has changed inside me at least. I sat with my wound, I
gave voice to it and shed the pain of that part of me and love came back and filled
the space. Love and acceptance. I remember one of the first messages the damaged
hawthorn communicated to me was about forgiveness and our need to be more pro-active
with it than ever and to turn over the forgiveness cycle more quickly, but no less
deeply. In retrospect, I spent valuable time in 2011, learning to acknowledge in me
those things in ourselves we all find hard to forgive – the perceived weaknesses of
pain and fear. It is relevant to remember also that the attack itself was a huge
projection of unendurable inner energy that had not been processed or forgiven. If I
learn the mechanism and possibility of self-forgiveness, only then do I know how and
why to forgive and accept others. In this opened space, others also have the chance
to forgive themselves and reduce the venting of chaotic and destructive energy. Do
not think I deem this an easy process, but the necessity of it as a mechanism for
change seems ever more clear to me.
Many wonderful sacred energies speak to us through the physical world and offer
themselves to us for our guidance and transformation. The Earth offers us her rare
and beautiful textbooks for gracious change all the time. And the very nature of
flow dictates that we not only receive, but give back with grateful thanks, care and
responsibility.
As I gazed at the tree this Winter Solstice, I noticed for the first time the
human-like wrinkles in the bark where the remains of the branches start to bend out
at the top of the trunk. They looked so human. They resemble the lines that are now
appearing on my own neck! I felt a pang of sympathetic connection and then almost
instantly – peace. In that moment of plain reality, the tree also seemed “emptier”,
but I cannot tell you what that really means.
What I then noticed was how the energy of the tree seemed more blended with my own
energy bubble. How the process it symbolised had played out within my own being and
was now “unforgettable” on a spiritual level, a positive healing imprint. This was
where the inner peace came from, even upon seeing no evidence left of new growth.
Both the masculine and the feminine tree guides danced together gracefully inside my
bubble.
The tree also seemed to be making a connection with Tibet. A mantra that I do not
recognise seemed to flow out of the tree and was accompanied by an image of Buddhist
monks and nuns chanting whilst looking at me square in the face. The day before I
had bought a double terminated Tibetan quartz crystal and I felt it wanted to go to
the tree with me. While holding it lightly upon the trunk in a vertical position,
the connection with Tibet began. I said prayers for the monks and the nuns and felt
that even now the tree is somehow weaving connections into the great cosmic fabric
of energy, and that the flow was both ways, like the double terminated crystal
itself. It seemed as though some form of preparation was going on for a year of
profound challenge in Tibet, and the possibility of change, perhaps in a way we have
already started to witness with the Arab Spring. Please direct love and healing
according to Divine Will towards Tibet, her incredibly brave and steadfast monks,
nuns and citizens who nurture the soul of their nation against all odds.
I also want to mention here an interpretation of events that perhaps I have not
emphasised as much as I might. The wounded tree also speaks to me quite clearly of
the rift that remains in the “family tree” of our spirituality in this country. I
cannot help but draw some conclusions about the work that still needs to be done to
heal the wound between Christians and those of an Earth-based spirituality. I am no
expert on the state of inter-faith harmony in Glastonbury (or anywhere else), but
this was a powerful reminder that more can be done to heal our wound. When I say
“Our Wound”, I do not attribute victim or perpetrator status to either side. People
from both sides of the divide have no doubt experienced both shadow identities down
the centuries. So the wound is shared, both sides have an energetic relationship
with it.
I was encouraged this year to experience an amazing cycle of Inkan shamanic energy
teachings, held within the rooms of a building built by Jesuits, which is now a
college of Theology and Philosophy. Present within our number were a few
participants from different Christian backgrounds. What a profound honour to learn
together in sacred space. Long may these harmonising opportunities continue.
Quietly reviewing the past year and the shifts I am grateful to have experienced,
the current state of the tree speaks to me more and more of great healing in the
midst of woundedness and BECAUSE of our woundedness, for every wound holds the seed
of a unique transformational possibility.
Having nearly come to the end of my 2011 journey and come through some very thorny
issues to a place of greater peace and possibility, I also feel I can let go of the
Holy Thorn as an outer symbol of faith and focus on being “akin” with her, wherever
she resides in the universe. The combined energies of the tree smile on us eternally
with gentle kindness and trust in our own transformational power.
My prayer for those of you seeking the kind of harmony within which the tree
embodies, is that you are able to trust in yourselves in the way the Holy Thorn
trusts in us. Believe in your ability to meet your potential through constant and
courageous inner focus, no matter the apparent assaults and distractions of the
external world. May we stand, as energetically complete and harmonious as the tree.
May we be conduits for the healing energies of the Earth and the Cosmos. May we be
blessed by the love and wisdom of the sacred feminine and the sacred masculine. May
we embrace the story of the Holy Thorn however it may conclude. May we find our own
powerful and unique ways to Be the Tree.
Wishing you all a blessed, joyful, restoring and peaceful holiday time and many
beautiful and transforming experiences in 2012.
With love from

Native American Prophesies
WE ARE HERE AND OUR VOICES OUR HEARTS TELL THE MESSAGE OF ONE LOVE IN ONE LIGHT IN PEACE HARMONY & JOY ~
“It is not enough to have a vision. In order to have its power, you must enact your vision on earth for all to see. Only then do you have the power.”
- Black Elk, Lakota medicine man and visionary
HOPI PROPHESY
“When the earth is dying there shall arise a new tribe of all colours and all creeds. This tribe shall be called The Warriors of the Rainbow and it will put its faith in actions not words.”
- Prophecy of the Native American Hopi people -
SIOUX PROPHESY
“There will come a time when the earth is sick and the animals and plants begin to die. Then the Indians will regain their spirit and gather people of all nations, colors and beliefs to join together in the fight to save the Earth: The Rainbow Warriors.”
- Ancient Native American prophecy -
My Beloved Warriors, Below is our Manifesto:
The Rainbow Dream Vision of Hope ~
By the Intertribal Medicine Societies
of Turtle island ~ The Twenty Count: 1993-2012
PLEASE If it RESONATES Make copies of the Rainbow prophecy, and give or send them to people anywhere on the planet. Then let them be guided by their hearts to do the same until all planetary citizens are brought to life in the Rainbow dream, so that we may dream and work together for true peace! TY very much:) ?
The Rainbow Dream Vision of Turtle Island ~ Prophecies of The Native Americans 1993-2012
PART ONE ~
The distribution and giving back to humanity of the Twenty Count. In the Turtle Island lore we say it is the time of finding one’s path with heart. The time of seeking perfection, growth and development. Most importantly the time of trust and innocence, when mythologies of the world are revealing secrets.
PART TWO ~
The critical time. The time of the animal. The time of Tuwalananie, the dark force. The reason for this is that seeds of light have been planted and we are starting to grow and the teachings are starting to come out and all those ones who have taught partial truths, who have taught deliberate lies in history, are going to be threatened by the awakening of the Rainbow people because the Rainbow people exist in every country, in every nation, in every land.
The Dark Forces will be threatened and they will use their power and their power exists in technology. We are going to see new technology appearing which will be a tremendous threat to the survival of humanity. We must exert our influence by gathering together and sharing our ideas and plans for alternative power and for world peace. If we put a double amount of energy with what we are for, we can change it. We can change it.
PART THREE ~
The time of human to human communication The time the human family finally starts to become human. There will be more information brought out into open format than has ever been seen on this planet. We will re-establish contact in a very knowledgeable way with our ancestors from the stars. So mark that down because it will happen. The first contact will be with the Pleiades and will be totally acknowledged and will be known to all the world powers. The second contact will be with Sirius.
PART FOUR ~
When truth seekers begin to open the veil of the crack between the worlds, we will see our memory circles. Many of the leaders who are trying to keep us locked in the past, will not function today, will fall. Many teachers and wise people will be seen for who they are and they will be the farmers, the labourers and the gas station attendants because the tagashala will be fully awakened.
People will begin to link up with other people in gathering together circles. Many of these will be the so-called ‘common people’ and not the teachers you see up there now.
PART FIVE ~
The various winged serpent wheels will begin to turn, to dance once again and when they do the rainbow
lights will be seen in dreams all over the world and these rainbow light dreams will help awaken the rest
of humanity.
We will sit in a new circle of law. All civil and social laws will have to be in conformity with natural laws or the people will not accept them and they will have the enlightenment necessary to reject those laws. Science will once again become metaphysics. They will discover four laws that will help them jump to universal law and transcend the time-space continuum which is the limitation of the age and once again we will begin to take our power and to work with rules and laws that are cosmic laws.
PART SIX ~
We will once again see the way to continue a new dream. We will be given the road map back to the stars and we will see the star people come out of the illusion of their two-legged form and into their actual great sleeper-dreamer form.
A powerful time approaches humanity and its really hard for me to talk about it. I am a great dreamer but
I don’t know if I dream that large. We will see a real shift in planetary consciousness.
Many of the enemies of the humans will begin to drop away. We will totally gain the light of the great light wheel.
There will be one humanity, one planet composed of all the different ways of dancing in complete harmony in the great gathering together circle. All the seeds will be planted.
The Earth will have its true reality formed. It will join the sisterhood of planets, the daughters of Copperwoman and it will create within itself all forms of all things in harmony with the everything. We will see a whole new way of perfection. There will be plants on this grandmother earth that will give life and sustenance as never before seen. Starvation on the earth, all those things will be gone. There will be total balance and harmony.
PART SEVEN ~
The new race of humans will begin to design their new reality of life on this planet as they intended it
to be when they first came here from the stars. We will begin to establish this planet and use the
collective consciousness to hold the power of this space in harmony with the Great Circle of Twelve and all the planets. There is a whole lot I don’t even know. There is more that I am not supposed
to talk about yet.
The dream will be actualised and this planet will hold its space in the great council of planets and become a part of the universal enlightened sisterhood and brotherhood of humanity and keepers of the light circles. It’s happened on many planets and it’s expected to happen on a lot of other planets. There will be a moment when the population will be ‘the’ Population, and something great will happen. This planet will have its design of energy movement guided by all of humanity living here.
The Great Spirit will leave its seed and the egg of everything here on this planet and it will create itself 20 times over at the speed of light and this prophecy ends as I have been given it by the Grandmothers that I share with you now.

Love, Thunder Woman!
The Rainbow Dream Vision of Freedom ~ 1993-2012
We can change it. Put a double amount of energy with what we are for!
Rainbow Tribe
The sun rose on a magical new day…
Over the whole earth they came,
The people of every colour,
Sister, Brother, Father, Mother
Traveling over many a land
People of the Rainbow
Children of the Way,
with a fresh glow
Finding their way
Star within…
More and more joined,
a song for the soul…
A new way to live,
A new way to see,
It happened this way…
And a new song,
It came from within
If you can find the Star,
Within then you will find…
What is… What was…
And what will be… you see,
It happened this way…
from within,
The people of the Way
The Rainbow Tribe…

Further news from Glastonbury and the Holy Thorn
Dear Friends,
I am sure the information below in the forwarded email from Philippa Glasson
will reassure you that the Holy Thorn will be with us for some time longer,
at least. Philippa sought confirmation from various local sources and
obtained a clearer picture. My thanks to you, Philippa.
I think this episode underlines the need for vigilence. The information flow
regarding the Holy Thorn had gone quiet, but this does not mean that our
concern had evaporated too. In the midst of this vacuum, John Coles acting
at his own behest, communicated his well known views regarding forms of
worship at the tree and was apparently also misquoted. This only suceeded in
creating confusion and alarm.
I feel our vigilence should be in support of clarity, though some may feel
it should be in support of idealogy. All of us wish I am sure that we could
erect an infalible wall of protection around the tree that keeps it safe
from malicious or thoughtless action. I spent an hour with the Thorn Tree
last night (Equinox) for the first time since the misquotations occurred. I
can confirm that two small sprigs of life remain, and I can see that one
larger, longer, very promising sprig and perhaps other sprigs have been
removed. I can also confirm that all the ribbons that adorn the railings
around the tree had been removed. A false impression is given that the
ribbons are themselves tied around the actual trunk, but they very rarely
are.
The tree’s energy felt still, peaceful, present and of great simplicity. Can
I say that it seemed “At one with itself”. Within that still beingness was a
strong sense of compassionate connection with the tree’s “children”, the
town and townspeople. The tree loves us (all of us), just as much as we love
it, though it is not limited by any aspects of attachment.
To our eyes the tree seems vulnerable. With our human love engaged we
perceive fragility and this can make reaction flare up in apparent support
of what we believe to be our emblem of particular spirituality. However, the
tree is a very special Healer and Teacher because it is, within its own
physical and energectic make-up, a perfect synthesis. It is fully faerie, a
dryad, a tree spirit in all the ways we know Hawthorne to be. It has also
wrought within it a genuine lineaage arising form its ancient exchange with
the Christ Energy. This means it can connect with everyone who approaches
it. Over the years it has communicated with me at different frequencies,
according to “where I was at”. I have met with the wild Faerie, but also the
Christ Energy within it. This means that people of particular faiths do have
very powerful experiences of the tree and initially feel that is speaks to
them through, and therefore upholds their own, belief system. You can
understand how the partisan conflicts arise. But if we are all experiencing
the same depth of connection, then none of us are wrong or right and we have
a space to lever open the doors of consciousness beyond dogma.
On Equinox night, the time of perfect balance between light and dark, the
tree reminded me that it embodies many perfect balances. It showed me that
it has a very strong celestial connection too. It conducts energy both ways,
from Earth to stars and from stars to Earth. If the spirit of the tree ever
leaves the trunk, it will not be homeless, it even has a home amongst the
stars.
The tree is less vulnerable than we fear. It is at one with its own being
and purpose. However, I do ask as always that we pray for the undisturbed
unfolding of its own divine purpose, whatever that may be. It’s physical
future is still uncertain, and you could say that, whether through harmful
acts, or the tree’s inner “choosing”, its life “hangs in the balance” at
Equinox. Let’s take the drama out of “hangs in the balance” and say instead
that the tree is in perfect balance, with itself, with us and with this
extraordinary time and place.
Remember, we too are “less vulnerable than we fear”. Let us pray to for the
“undisturbed unfolding of divine purpose” in our own lives. Our physical
future feels uncertain, whether because of chaotic forces outside us or
because of doubts and confusion within. Yet we have a home here amongst the
stars and the vast cosmic energies. The tree is us and we are the tree. It
is offering us so much right now. And it will do what it needs to do, to
give us the most powerful teaching and healing of all. I trust the tree,
whatever happens.
I also pray that every opportunity for communication within Glastonbury’s
spiritual communities is nurtured, so that we may find ways of lifting
confusion and creating awareness and peace.
Love and blessings to all and thanks again to Philippa,
Rosemary xxx
